How tutor profile verification works

Public profile facts are labeled by source so families can distinguish checked records from tutor-supplied information and current platform data.

Evidence labels

Verified

A public credential record is labeled verified only when the LMS record has verified status. The profile shows the credential name and public jurisdiction when available.

Platform observed

Current rates and availability come from iTutor systems. They can change and are checked again during booking.

Tutor reported

Experience, education, biographies, and credentials without verified status are supplied by the tutor and are labeled accordingly.

Withheld

A fact is omitted when no approved public source exists or when it is not eligible for public display. Missing evidence is never inferred.

Refreshes and concerns

Public profiles refresh from the LMS at least hourly. Rates and recurring availability are reconfirmed during booking. iTutor does not publish reviews, ratings, completed-lesson counts, background-check claims, or student outcomes without an approved public source and publication policy.

To report inaccurate public information or raise a concern, use the contact page. The team reviews the source record and removes or corrects unsupported public facts.
